Dear all,

As Spring arrives, and despite the remaining impact of the pandemic, we are hopeful across the UK that some normality will return to our homes and work lives. Recalibration and rebuilding of our “new normal”, particularly in consideration of the backlog of work which the NHS must now tackle, will be challenging for all of us.

We are currently facing an unprecedented pressure on our Pharmacy Teams as the COVID-19 pandemic takes hold across the UK. We have heard from members across the UK – descriptions of the phenomenal work that Pharmacy Teams in acute trusts, community trusts, mental health trusts, commissioning support units, primary care as well as community pharmacy have undertaken to meet the relentless demand created by this crisis in the NHS
