Join our National Occupational and Professional Committee

We require an expression of interest (EoI) submission for each role. It’s usually best get in touch with a member of Guild Council before returning an EoI.

Applicants must be a GHP/Unite member and agree to become an accredited Unite representative within 2 years (where possible).

We currently have vacancies for the following positions:

Completed EoI forms to be returned to president@ghp.org.uk by June 14th 2024. The aim is that applicants will be contacted with an outcome by June 28th 2024. EoIs are subject to review by GHP Council or GHP Executive Committee depending on application numbers received and the nature of the position within GHP. All roles are voluntary. Facilities time (depending on local employer arrangement/policy) can be utilised for trade union duties.

There are two in-person Guild Council meetings per year which Council members are encouraged to prioritise attending. Guild Council meets once every other month and GHP Exec on alternating months with Council. Expenses are paid by Unite for union activities.
