Professional Reference Database

We are looking for members to add to our professional reference database.

As an organisation, there are many calls on the National Professional Committee and the Professional Secretary to represent our members and become involved in all areas of the professional agenda.

It is essential that we can involve and call on members who have the experience and knowledge in specialist areas.

Our objective is to utilise the Professional Reference Database to ensure the people who are called on to represent the interests of our members and clients have the appropriate competencies and skills to influence practice and government policy.

The information you send us will ensure we can match the experience and skills to the requirements for representation.

The Database will:

1.                 Improve communication pathways

2.                 Create a more effective way of responding to documents both at national and regional level.

3.                 Give an opportunity for a collation of interests

4.                 Give an opportunity for members to gain experience.

5.                 Maintain confidentiality of individual’s personal details such that they will only be used for this purpose

Accountability of Representatives

1.                 Collective representation: you will be acting on behalf of the Guild not yourself

2.                 Keeping the Professional Secretary updated on progress by completing the relevant short report form or sending minutes of meeting(s)

3.                 Maintaining confidentiality of information you receive for the Guild where relevant

The Professional Secretary or other member of the National Professional Committee will support all members asked to represent the Guild.
